To reserve a space in the Ferguson Library, check the calendar for availability, then use the Google Form below to submit your reservation request.
Please note: it is Library policy that all official school-sponsored or -operated events held in the Ferguson Library spaces must use either reusable drinkware/flatware/dishware, or disposable paper. Disposable plastics are not welcome. Here is a substantial—and disconcerting—article in National Geographic from 2018 addressing the impact of plastics on the planet.
You may reserve one of the following spaces in the Ferguson Library:
- Kitchen (library/CENTRAL level)
Students may only use the kitchen under direct faculty supervision. The kitchen has some basic supplies, but it's best to stop by a few days ahead of time to make sure it's not missing any equipment that you'll need. The standard brass-colored "Z" key unlocks the door, although it's a little picky. Be sure to lock up when you're done. Please: be sure to build in enough time to allow for cleanup afterwards. Any questions, just ask the librarian and he'll be happy to help you plan for what you need.
- Meeting Room 1 (library/LOFT level)
This is the glass conference room nearest the elevator. The table currently seats about 8, though there's room for a few more chairs if needed. There is a flat screen TV for presentations (connect using Apple TV). Ask the librarian for the remote controls.
- Meeting Room 2 (library/LOFT level)
This is the glass conference room nearest the center of the floor (glass walls on three sides). The table currently seats about 8, though there's room for a few more chairs if needed.
- Library/CENTRAL main floor space (2nd floor Bishop Brown)
This is the main library space, most commonly reserved for receptions and coffeehouses.
